Xi Jinping stressed that both the Communist Party of China (CCP) and the Communist Party of Cuba (CCP) are at the forefront of the socialist cause in their respective countries and reviewed the goals set by the two at their last congresses to promote economic development.

The seminar is held on Wednesday and Thursday with an agenda focusing on priority issues for the CPC and the CPC, namely socio-economic development and political and ideological work.

The Chinese leader stressed that the event is of utmost importance to the two nations as it provides an excellent opportunity to explore a path of socialist development taking into account the national realities of China and Cuba.

Xi Jingping said the Chinese CPC is willing to have in-depth dialogues with the CPC on key theoretical and practical issues, learn from each other’s governance experience, and promote party building and socialist cause. .

On the Cuban side, Roberto Morales, member of the Politburo and organizational secretary of the CPC Central Committee, leads the Cuban delegation. The Chinese delegation is led by Hoang Kunming, the Political Bureau, the Secretariat and the head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
