Webinars, workshops, preamble readings to mark Constitution Day | Latest India News
The government plans to hold webinars, workshops and readings of its preamble on November 26 to mark Constitution Day . The hashtags #SamvidhanDiwas and #1ndiaMotherOfDemocracy were posted to promote events related to the day on social media.
This year’s Constitution Day is themed “Bharat: Loktantra Ki Janani (India: The Mother of Democracy)”. The preamble in 22 official languages will be available on the readpreamble.nic.in website.
The government sought maximum participation of public servants, their families and friends for the events related to the day. A quiz competition was organized on the constitutionquiz.nic.in site in connection with the celebrations. Anyone with a valid email id can take part in the Indian history and constitution quiz.
Since 2015, the government has marked November 26 as Constitution Day. The Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution on November 26, 1949. It went into effect on January 26, 1950. The day is marked by a tribute to Bhimrao Ambedkar, who headed the constitution drafting committee.
