Three days of FREE pumpkin carving workshops are coming to The Glass Works this October semester!
Sand in Your Eye, the Yorkshire artists behind the incredible sand lion sculpture earlier this year, are holding three days of special Halloween workshops to teach you how to carve the perfect pumpkin.
The workshops take place on October 27, 28 and 29 and are available by reservation only.
Join them in the upper shopping center of Barnsley Market, next to the Tiny Tarn playground in The Glass Works. You might get dirty, so dress appropriately!
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You have to book a ticket before attending.
For those unable to attend the carving workshops themselves, Sand in Your Eye will also show off their amazing carving skills by creating an amazing giant pumpkin carving live throughout the day. And there’s also FREE Halloween makeup every day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the market!
Elsewhere in The Glass Works, the library @ The Lightbox will be hosting free activities this spooky season on set days from 10am-11am. These include a haunted house craft session on October 25 and a Halloween sparrow craft workshop on October 28.
If that wasn’t enough fun halfway through, there’s also Brick By Brick, a free international LEGO exhibition at Barnsley Museum Gallery @ The Glass Works. The exhibition presents the work of 18 artists, designers and photographers who use LEGO as a source of inspiration. The Brick By Brick exhibition is in place until January 8.
