SR College Holds Orientation Workshops For IAS Aspirants – Jammu and Kashmir Latest News | Tourism
JAMMU, April 24: The SR College of Competitions (SRCC) has held Orientation Workshops for Civil Service Aspirants at its premises in Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The orientation workshops were facilitated by expert faculties in Delhi. The faculty has taken care of the nature and structure of the examination comprehensively. In a highly interactive session attended by aspirants from all over Jammu and Kashmir and even Ladakh, all aspects of the civil service exam including the exam outline and pattern, the foreplay and industry approach, the sources of material and the books needed, the use of online resources and the relevance of reading newspapers in preparing for the news, were discussed to the hilt.
Various test series writing strategies for preliminaries and majors have been covered thoroughly and to the best satisfaction of aspirants. During the session, the whole program, the areas of intervention and the type of questions asked in the previous years were also discussed. Aspirants were also informed about CSAT and term papers.
Expert Delhi faculty Gautam Kumar discussed in detail the entire syllabus of the Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC and JKPSC and suggested a complete step-by-step strategy to prepare for both preliminary examination and main examination. During a session of three and a half hours, he dealt with the four tests of general studies, the test of aptitude for public service and also the selection of optional subjects.
He also drew the attention of aspirants to the essay and answer writing practice. He suggested that aspirants attend at least a series of comprehensive tests for the preliminary and main examination.
Separate sessions were conducted for various options such as Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, History and Philosophy by RK Jha, Gautam Kumar, Amir, Kashab and G Meena respectively.
