NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News – August 12, 2022): At the direction of Provincial Ombudsman Aijaz Ali Khan, Regional Director of Ombudsman Shaheed Benazirabad Khan Muhammad Zardari conducted an awareness seminar at Government Girls High School- 1 Sakrand and New Oxford School Sakrand with the coordination of the school administration in order to promote the education of female students and solve the problems encountered.
Addressing the seminar, the regional director of the ombudsman, Khan Muhammad Zardari, said that girls’ education is necessary and requires special attention from parents, as the saying goes: a literate woman educates all family.
He said that the government pays special attention to the education of girls but unfortunately the attention of parents is weak on this side.
He said that in order to close the gap, the provincial ombudsman has ordered to organize awareness seminars throughout the province in this regard.
He said today’s seminar is a link in the series.
The regional director, through this platform, called on school administrations from all districts in the division to visit his office with an application containing issues and complaints.
He said the real issues would be dealt with first and relevant departments would be required to resolve the issues.
He was of the opinion that the SMC funds using the powers must be held by female teachers, as this office receives complaints about the misappropriation of these funds while the male president is negligent. He said the funds intended for the female students would be returned to them and an investigation would be carried out if there were any delays.
The regional director ensured his full administrative cooperation with the school administration. Earlier, the school administration presented traditional Sindhi Ajrak as a gift to the guest while Taluka education officer Rizwana Magsi and headmistress Shabana Keerio thanked the regional director for hosting a seminar awareness.
The seminar was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Sakrand Junaid Alam, Director of Safe Schools Imam Bux Aresar, Taluka Secondary Education Officer Mumtaz Jamali, Taluka Primary Education Officer Syed Qurban Shah, Taluka Education Officer Rizwana Magsi, CDF Chairman Abdul Hameed Arain, Qazi Senior Journalist Javed Ahmed, teachers and students in large numbers.
