Seminar speakers pay tribute to Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam – Kashmir Media Service
Islamabad, Sep 07 (KMS): Speakers at a seminar organized by Friends of Kashmir, Kashmir Media Service and National Press Club, Islamabad paid rich tributes to Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam, a renowned Kashmiri scholar, great advocate Kashmir Cause and Executive Director, Kashmir Media Service, on its first anniversary.
The event brought together Hurriyat leaders, journalists and people from other walks of life. President, Friends of Kashmir, Ghazala Habib presided over the ceremony while former APHC-AJK leader Muhammad Farooq Rehmani was guest of honour.
Speakers including former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan on the occasion recalled Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam’s services to the cause of Kashmir on the media front. They said that Sheikh Tajammul always stood firm in the face of oppression. He preferred to lead a migrant life but did not give in to Indian oppression. Speakers said the deceased founded Kashmir Media Service to convey the voice of Kashmiris to the world, which today has become a strong institution.
Kashmir Media Service is the voice of Kashmiris in Pakistan as it plays an important role in highlighting Indian atrocities in the occupied territory, they added.
The speakers said that Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam was also an Islamic scholar and had deep research on the religion.
