Seminar speakers call for following Chinese development initiatives
PESHAWAR: Speakers at a seminar here on Friday stressed the need to follow China’s modernization and development initiatives to put the country on a development path.
The Chinese Studies Center of the University of Peshawar and the Pakistan-China Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Friendship Association jointly organized the seminar on “The Significance of the 20th CPC National Congress and the Re-election of President Xi Jinping” here on Friday. .
Professor Zahid Anwar, pro-vice-chancellor and director of the China Study Center was the guest of honor on this occasion. The seminar was attended by scholars, scholars and university students.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Zahid Anwar said China’s modernization is based on the pursuit of high-quality development, the development of people’s democracy and economic prosperity, the promotion of harmony among mankind and nature, building a human community of destiny and creating a new form of human progress.
He also congratulated Hira Ali, a lecturer in the Department of Arts and Design, for winning a silver medal for Pakistan at the Orient Star Design Award, China.
Sharing her perspective, Hira Ali talked about the Orient Star Design Award competition she entered. In the ASEAN Division of the Oriental Star Design Competition, she represented the University of Peshawar and won the silver medal. The top three winners in each category were selected for the national competition. Her painting won another bronze award in a national-level competition in China.
Afsheen Zaman, a senior lecturer at the same department, said China is a growing economy and Pakistan should take full advantage of China’s capacity through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China Economic Corridor. -Pakistan (CPEC).
