SEA Games 31: Press conferences before the football semi-finals | Culture – Sports

Phu Tho (VNA) – press conferences took place on May 18 in the provinces of Phu Tho and Nam Dinh before the semi-final matches in current men’s football WED Games 31 scheduled for May 19.

Malaysia coach Brad Maloney spoke highly of his Vietnamese rivals and stressed that the Malaysian players will give their best during the official time of the upcoming match.

Vietnam coach Park Hang-seo said the hosts will claim victory if they are able to draw strong defense and capitalize on chances, adding the players are in good form.

The Vietnam-Malaysia match will kick off at 7 p.m. on May 19 at Viet Tri Stadium in Phu Tho province.

Meanwhile, at the conference in Nam Dinh, Indonesian coach Shin Tae-yong said his team is aiming to get into the finals as his players improve after each game.

He added that only one Indonesian footballer will not be able to play for the game.

Defender Asnawi Mangkualam will miss the match as he received two yellow cards in the group stage. To fill Asnawi’s position, Ilham Rio Fahmi would be an option.

Another player, Saddil Ramdani, will arrive in Vietnam on May 18, coach Shin Tae-yong told the official website of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI).

For his part, coach Alexander Polking said Thailand will do everything possible to achieve the goal of advancing to the final and winning the gold medal.

He said one of the advantages of the team is that they got used to Thien Truong Stadium and thanked Soccer supporters of Nam Dinh province for their support of the teams.

The match will start at 4 p.m. on May 19 at Thien Truong Stadium, admission is free./.
