Property tax appeal seminar on August 22 in Schaumburg
Schaumburg Township Assessor John R. Lawson will co-host a free educational property tax appeals seminar from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 22 in the Schaumburg High School gymnasium, 100 W. Schaumburg Road.
The seminar will include a presentation followed by a question and answer period. Speakers from the Cook County Assessor’s Office will explain how property taxes are calculated and share tips on how to file a successful appeal. Representatives will be available to assist residents with on-site appeals.

Other co-hosts of the event include State Senator Laura Murphy, State Representative Michelle Mussman, Cook County Commissioner Kevin B. Morrison, Mayor of Hoffman Estates Bill McLeod, Mayor of Hanover Park Rodney Craig and Mayor of the Village of Elk Grove Craig B. Johnson.
