The Seahawks ran all over the Texans in their 33-13 win at Houston on Sunday, and Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson both stressed the importance of offensive line play in the win during their press conferences after -match.

Pete Carroll said the offensive line played well for them today and notes Jake Curhan’s performance on his first start.

“I’ve done a hell of a job staying with the guys and really proud of him.”

Russell Wilson said the Seahawks’ O line “dominated the line of scrimmage” in the run-and-pass game. He was not sacked and Seattle rushed for 193 yards. pic.twitter.com/Ey0GTPlvca

Tyler Lockett shone offensively today with five catches for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Two players in #Seahawks history has had three consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons, and curiously, Tyler Lockett and Steve Largent were born on September 28 and in Tulsa, Oklahoma. pic.twitter.com/doHMQ14Oqp

Being the humble guy that he is, Lockett instead focused on playing fellow offensive star Rashaad Penny, who had a career-high 137 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Other Seahawks also complimented Penny’s performance.

Penny was visibly ecstatic at her press conference.

Rashaad Penny: “I’m just blessed and grateful. These guys never gave up on me.”

Rashaad Penny: “To be honest, I’m not happy with the way I played. Because I know what I can do and I’m pretty sure everyone knows what I can do. It was just for me to stand on the pitch, and I’m just grateful to have come out of this game injury free.”

Unfortunately, the Seahawks did not come out of the game unscathed. Defensive starters DJ Reed and Bryan Mone were both injured, with Reed coming on in a scary collision with Texans TE Brevin Jordan. Seahawks CB Gavin Heslop suffered a horrific broken leg that will almost certainly keep him out for the rest of the season.

Pete Carroll says Bryan Mone has a sprained knee. Not the same knee he was dealing with this week.

Carroll said there’s a good chance Gavin Heslop will have surgery tonight and stay in Houston.

Carroll said DJ Reed suffered a chest bruise from the collision.
