Mobile car workshops planned in Mansehra for tourists – Newspaper

MANSEHRA: Mansehra traffic police have planned to launch mobile car workshops on Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad road for motorists, especially tourists, during four Eid holidays, the head of the police said on Thursday. the district traffic police, Jamal Zeb.
At a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Adnan Khan here, Mr Zeb said the police department had met with the dealers of petroleum products and asked them to ensure that each petrol station had a stock. at least 4,000 liters of petrol and diesel during the days of Eid. to meet the needs of tourists to the Kaghan Valley.
He said a strategy has been finalized to deal with the possible influx of tourists to the Kaghan Valley in Eidul Fitr.
The traffic police chief said additional personnel would be deployed to Naran and Balakot and MNJ Road.

He said tourists en route to Kaghan Valley via the Hazara highway could only use the Shateh interchange to enter the MNJ road.
Kaghan Hoteliers Association President Seth Matiullah highlighted various issues related to tourism, especially road repairs.
The deputy commissioner said he had already ordered the repair of Shateh Road and part of the MNJ road, which had developed cracks.
He said heavy machinery would be on standby in the landslide prone sections on the MNJ road from Balakot to the upper parts of the Kaghan valley.
Balakot Deputy Commissioner Saddam Hussain Memon also attended the meeting, which reviewed arrangements to deal with the influx of tourists during Eid days.
PROMOTED: A committee headed by Lower Kohistan District Police Officer Zulfiqar Khan Jadoon on Thursday ordered the promotion of 10 constables to chief constable.
He issued the orders after the performance of the officers was reviewed at a committee meeting here.
Mr. Jadoon promised the posting of promoted officers to the vacant posts.
He said security was tightened across the district for the Eidul Fitr festival.
The DPD said additional police personnel would be deployed to local bazaars and the Karakoram highway for the safety of visitors and locals.
