The Maritime History Society (MHS) is holding its 43rd annual seminar on November 15 at the Agastya Auditorium of INHS Asvini, Colaba.
The theme of the one-day seminar is “Exploring India’s Sea Power Trajectory”.
With a coastline of over 7500 km, India has seen the sea as the means of sustenance, exploration and annexation since prehistoric times.

Speakers and moderators include Commodore Dr Srikant Kesnur (Retd), Pramod Kapoor, Captain Raghavendra Mishra (Retd), Captain M Doraibabu, Captain Himadri Das and others.
The seminar intends to arouse the curiosity of the audience by offering a complete historical panorama that can serve as a basis for establishing a sustainable maritime doctrine, unified maritime policies and a comprehensive plan for national maritime development.
“MHS invites all sea enthusiasts to attend the seminar on November 15, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission rights are reserved,” the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said in a press release.
