Locker room talk and optimistic press conferences –

PEORIA (KUSI) – Three days away from the first game of spring training on Friday, where the San Diego Padres will face the Seattle Mariners.
KUSI’s Allison Edmonds was in the locker room this morning to get the scoop this morning.
She said the mood changed dramatically after Fernando Tatis Jr. announced he would be out for several months of the season after injuring his wrist.

The locker room opened at 7:30 a.m. and she spoke to some of the players in the locker room about trade rumours, this season, and even getting a glimpse into some players’ personal lives.
Edmonds spoke with first baseman Eric Hosmer about the trade rumors and he replied, “We’re all used to rumours, let’s get used to the conversation. We just have to be ready to go,” followed by “The only thing I have to prove is to my teammates.
She was able to attend a press conference with Peter Seidler and Erik Greupner later that morning where she tweeted some optimism from Padres headquarters.
