Large industrial workshops record growth of 3.4 in the production index
TEHRAN – The country’s major industrial workshops recorded a 3.4 percent growth in production index in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 21, 2021), the Bank said. Central Iran (CBI) in a statement. reported.
The CBI report said: “The production index of large industrial workshops (with 100 or more employees), which in the summer (second quarter) of this year was reduced by 1.4% compared to the same period last year due to disruptions in the production process of industrial products due to frequent power outages, grew 6.4% in the third quarter, which is higher than the growth (5.5% ) carried out in the first quarter.
As a result, the production index of large industrial workshops in the first nine months of this year increased by 3.4 percent compared to the same period last year. Considering that about 70 percent of the added value of the industrial sector is allocated to the production performance of large industrial workshops, the growth achieved in the production index of these workshops during the first nine months of this year plays a important in the 3.6 percent the growth of the added value of the industrial sector and also the economic growth (4.1 %) during this period.
