Kashmir seminar held in Ankara
A seminar entitled “Kashmir with its legal dimension from the past to the present” was held at the Institute for Strategic Thinking (SDE) in Ankara within the framework of the third “Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir”.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – July 25, 2022): A seminar entitled “Kashmir with its legal dimension from past to present” was held at the Institute of Strategic Thought (SDE) in Ankara within the framework of the third “Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir.” August 5th is observed as Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, the day the Indian government, violating basic legal norms and rules, illegally and unilaterally revoked Articles 370 and 35-A of the Indian constitution. . These articles gave Kashmir self-governing status with special rights and privileges for Kashmiris, and were irrevocable and permanent provisions of the Indian Constitution, a press release said.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkiye, Sajjad Qazi thanked the people and government of Turkiye for their principled stance on Kashmir and stressed that Turkish support and solidarity with Kashmir is a source of great strength for millions of oppressed people in illegally occupied Indian Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), and an important contribution to the realization of their right to self-determination.
Ambassador Qazi said Kashmir’s struggle for freedom is a classic example of unprecedented oppression on one side, and unwavering courage, determination, determination and perseverance of more than nine million innocent people from the other.
Neither the 75 years of illegal Indian occupation nor the extreme brutality of Indian security forces in maintaining this occupation has succeeded in subduing the spirit of the Kashmiri people.
Ambassador Qazi reiterated that India must reverse its illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, lift its inhumane military siege on IIOJK, end its illegal measures aimed at changing the demographic structure of the occupied territory, cease executions extrajudicial killings of Kashmiri youths, release the illegally detained Kashmiri youths and political leaders and let the Kashmiris exercise their inalienable right to self-determination through a fair and impartial plebiscite under the auspices of the United Nations, as provided for in the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
The ambassador thanked the management of SDE for organizing the event. On the occasion, Sinan Taukcu, head of SDAV also highlighted the Kashmir issue with his enlightening remarks.
