Ghulam Hussaien Majrooh, a social activist, also spoke at the event and addressed young people to come together to fight drug addiction and related ailments. In his address, Agha Syed Rizvi, President of JKPJF, said that armed militancy in J&K is decreasing but a new form of militancy is on the rise, in the name of drug terrorism, hosted by our neighboring country.

“It is a conspiracy hatched by the neighboring country to involve the young people of Kashmir and make them drug addicts, for their own interests. But, we are able and very well able to thwart the attempts of this anti-Kashmir agenda of the neighboring country. . , he said.

As a peaceful society, we will not allow these marginal elements to succeed, the activist added.

“Drug terrorism is a double-edged sword used by our neighbours. On the one hand it spoils our young people by making them drug addicts and on the other hand the money generated from drug trafficking is funneled into terrorism Thus it pushes the people of Kashmir into a vicious cycle of terrorism and drug addiction I humbly request the people of Kashmir to stay away from drugs and if anyone is affected by it, should approach the centers rehabilitation for detoxification. For the peace and development of Kashmir, we must take an oath: no to drugs, no to terrorism”, concluded the activist.
