New Delhi, May 14 (PTI) Home Minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest of the three-day Delhi University International Seminar starting May 19.
University officials have confirmed Shah’s participation in the seminar entitled “Revisiting Ideas of India from Swaraj to New India”, organized by the Department of Political Science.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is also expected to attend the event, which will discuss ideas developed before and after India’s independence, as well as those who came up with his ideas.
“In this proposed international seminar, an effort will be made to understand India’s journey through the ideas that have flourished in modern times over the past 150 years. Undoubtedly, during this period, the Mahatma Gandhi awakened not only Indian consciousness but that of the entire world by inspiring his set of ideas in the first half of the 20th century,” reads the concept note.
