Devon NHS announces free workplace wellbeing workshops
The workshops will give employees the chance to learn a range of tools and techniques to help improve their mental health and well-being.
This will include reducing stress, building resilience, creating manageable routines and developing healthy habits, both at work and in daily life. Sessions will be customized for each business, allowing flexibility on delivery and timings.
Department head Jonny Wilkins spoke about the initiative and why the NHS department is running the workshops. He said: ‘We recognize that many people may be nervous about seeking help if they are struggling with some element of their mental health.
“We also know that most employers want to do everything they can to support their staff, especially at this very difficult time for many people.
“We designed these workshops as a first step to accessing support. To ensure that sessions are accessible to as many people as possible, we offer to visit workplaces and offer face-to-face workshops, as well as online for staff working from home. »
TALKWORKS is available for adults over the age of 18, living in Devon, who are struggling with a common mental health issue.
The service is part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust, which provides mental health, learning disabilities and neurodiversity services across Devon. All care and support is provided free of charge.
