Convention Workshops Focus on Membership, MyLegion and District Commanders
Attendees of the 103rd American Legion National Convention in Milwaukee will have the opportunity to receive training on membership, MyLegion.org, and incoming information about District Commanders.
Saturday August 27 and Monday August 29: Member training with subject matter experts. Training will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days at the Wisconsin Center, Room 103, Section B, First Floor.
Discussion topics include how to:
– Contact your legislators
– Animate an effective meeting
– Inspire post growth and retention
– Perform friend verifications
– Write resolutions
– Have effective communication and public speaking skills
– Address suicide prevention efforts
Monday August 29: Training of new district commanders. Training for incoming District Commanders will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hilton Milwaukee, Wright Ballroom, Sections AB, Fourth Floor.
Monday August 29: Introduction to the MyLegion.org workshop. A full training session on the mylegion.org platform will be presented from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The training will take place at the Wisconsin Center, room 103, DE sections, first floor. Pre-registration at the Media & Communications stand located in the exhibition hall is mandatory.
