City of St. Augustine Offers Workshops and Consultations for Residents Seeking FEMA Assistance – Action News Jax
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The City of St. Augustine is offering open houses and one-on-one consultations for residents seeking FEMA 2022 flood mitigation assistance. Working in tandem with Quality Engineering and Surveying (QES), noted As a City consultant, a workshop will be held for residents who have completed their applications on Monday, October 10 at 3 p.m. at the Galimore Community Center, located at 399 Riberia Street in Lincolnville.
Later in the evening, at 6 p.m., an additional workshop will be held for homeowners who have been inundated by Hurricane Ian – or any previous storm – who have not completed a disaster mitigation assistance application. 2022 floods. Homeowners not participating in City of St. Augustine flood mitigation programs are encouraged to send a full email with their name, address, and phone number to [email protected] City staff will contact you to discuss other available programs.

In a recent news release, the City of St. Augustine said federal funds are allocated annually. Applications can be submitted for consideration for these funds.
“In fiscal year 2021, the FEMA program allocated $70 million for community flood mitigation; however, funding in 2022 is expected to exceed this amount when funding notice is announced for the program,” they said.
