Citizen Advice North Herts will hold financial workshops

The Letchworth Financial Health Project is one of the projects run by Citizens Advice North Herts and is available to anyone who lives or works in Letchworth Garden City.
It is funded by the Letchworth Heritage Foundation, first launched in November 2020.
Workshop gives budgeting tips

The overarching goal of this project is to inspire and empower the local community to develop financial resilience and resourcefulness. Reducing the harmful effects of low income also has a positive impact on people’s life prospects, health and well-being.
At its heart, the project offers a holistic and intensive financial advisory service tailored to the needs of individuals and includes the following key elements:
Personalized advice on debts
· Advice on revenue maximization strategies, including benefit checks.
· Help and support in requesting and appealing benefit decisions.
· Improve financial capability and confidence. That is, imparting knowledge and skills on how to manage money, delivered through one-on-one appointments and community workshops.
We are now taking reservations for our Community Financial Capability Workshops; these workshops will be offered in person at local venues and online. Topics include money matters, budgeting, saving energy, maximizing income, managing debt, banking and savings accounts, choosing credit, and comparing best buys.
