Charity to hold workshops on developing non-profit boards – The Royal Gazette

Charities were invited to receive first-hand training on board development.
The Interagency Committee for Children, Families, and Community will host a three-part virtual training series for new and less experienced nonprofit board members, as well as anyone interested. to join a non-profit organization’s board of directors.
Shana Williams, Program Manager for IAC, said, “IAC’s Board Development Series was designed with the goal of strengthening the effectiveness of not-for-profit governance in Bermuda.
“The importance of the third sector has never been greater and board leadership is key to its success.
“I encourage new and seasoned board members to sign up and learn about current developments in board best practices.”
The series will run on May 5, June 2, and July 7 from 5-7 p.m. Danielle Rivière of OD Solutions will host the series.
Admission for non-members is $100 while members will pay $20. Non-profit organizations can register online for membership for $35 per year.
