Bajpai Addresses Various Workshops on GeM Portal – Jammu Kashmir Latest News | Tourism

JAMMU, 16 April: Usha Bajpai, National Executive Member of the GeM Gateway, who is on a three-day tour in Jammu trained female activists during a series of train-the-trainer workshops on GeM Gateway registration in various parts of Jammu division.
A widely attended women’s meeting was held in Lakhanpur of Kathua district.
The meetings were held on the directives of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and National President, BJP Mahila Morcha, Vanathi Srinivasan and organized by Jammu Women’s Credited Cooperative Limited (JWCCL) under the leadership of Sanjita Dogra who is its chairperson.
The main organizer of the Lakhanpur meeting was the Chief Advisor of Jammu Women Credit Co-Operative Ltd. Kailash Verma.
Speaking on the occasion, Bajpai said that the central government provides assistance to women for self-employment.
She said the GeM portal is one such initiative and women in large numbers need to register there to get one-click job opportunities.
Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta also addressed the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjita Dogra of JWCCL called on the women of Jammu and Kashmir to benefit from all programs run by the central government.
Sanjita Dogra argued that women in Jammu and Kashmir should benefit from the programs of the central government, women should set an example by becoming self-reliant, for this all the work will be done.
Earlier on the first day, a series of meetings were held with women from Katra in Reasi district and Purkhoo camp in Jammu district.
The workshops were held in Katra, in which the main guest Usha Bajpai guided the participants through registration on the GeM portals. Later in the evening, a similar workshop was held at Purkhoo Camp in Jammu.
Updesh Andotra, National Active Members of BJP, Chairman of MC Katra, Shashi Gupta, Chairman of Reasi District, Ritu Thakur and others remained present on the occasion.
