APHC-AJK holds seminar on ‘Pakistan Accession Day’ – Kashmir Media Service

Islamabad, Jul 19 (KMS): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chapter of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC-AJK) held a seminar today as part of the “Pakistan Accession Day”.
The day is observed by the people of Kashmir in renewal of the historic resolution of Kashmir joining Pakistan adopted by the people of Jammu and Kashmir through their representative organization, All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference on this day in 1947 in Srinagar, demanding the accession of the territory to Pakistan.
APHC-AJK official Mehmood Ahmad Saghar chaired the seminar while former Prime Minister and AJK Chairman Sardar Yaqoob Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the seminar, the speakers described the resolution adopted on July 19, 1947 as the destination of the Kashmiris and pledged to continue the peaceful struggle to achieve this goal.
They said the people of Kashmir were struggling to secure their right to self-determination. They said that India had forcibly occupied Kashmir against the will of the Kashmiri people but that one day they will have to leave the territory because the use of brute force cannot weaken their sense of freedom.
Other speakers and participants included Shaikh Abdul Mateen, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Syed Faiz Naqashbandi, Syed Yousuf Naseem, Mir Tahir Masood, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Hassan-ul-Bana, Imtiaz Wani, Syed Ajaz Rehmani . , Lawyer Parvaiz Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Raja Khadim Hussain, Javaid Iqbal Butt, Manzoor ul Haq Bhat, Nisar Mirza, Zahid Ashraf, Abdul Majeed, Gulshan Ahmed, Imran Qazi, Main Muzaffer, Nadeem Wani, Abdul Hameed, Attaullah, Muhammad Shafi Dar, and others.
A resolution voted on this occasion reaffirmed the will of the Kashmiris to continue their struggle until the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan. The resolution called for a meaningful and results-oriented dialogue process between Pakistan and India on the Kashmir dispute.
Demanding the release of all political prisoners languishing in various Indian and IIOJK jails under draconian laws, the resolution paid homage to the martyrs of Kashmir and reiterated to pursue their mission until complete success.
Meanwhile, several AJK parties, migrants and Kashmiri groups held ceremonies in Rawalpindi, Muzaffarabad, Mirpure, Rawalkote and other AJK areas to mark “Pakistan Accession Day”. .
