Not only is the overarching goal of the Artemis program to revive humanity’s presence on and around the moon, but it is also a unifying bipartisan and international effort to grow the human space exploration program. While NASA is still focused on protecting and preserving our Earth, establishing a stronger human-robotic presence in space is the first step towards humanity becoming a multiplanetary species, which will not only allow us to learn more about how to help our home planet. , but also more about ourselves, our place in existence and what makes life begin and thrive.
