A series of workshops for job seekers will take place | News, Sports, Jobs
The state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations will host a series of three-day, live, interactive workshops to help job seekers learn from labor market experts and peer hacks, tricks, and ideas for find the right job.
“Today’s labor market has given workers more choices as the unemployment rate is relatively low with strong demand from employers,” Workforce Development Administrator Maricar Pilotin-Freitas said in a press release.
“This time of great job reshuffle resignation in Hawaii provides a historic opportunity for individuals to obtain better and more satisfying jobs and careers and the HUB”knowledge to action“Workshops have been developed to facilitate these opportunities.”
Topics for the Useful, Useful and Basic Tools (HUB) workshops will include:
• Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. “Finding You – Digital Literacy, Connecting to Resources, Evaluating You.”
• Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. “Finding the right job for you – Research and align yourself with a job-career organization.”
• Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. “Get the Job – Applications, Resumes and Interviews.”

The summit is part of an ongoing series of monthly workshops offered by the Workforce Development Division designed to make job searching easier through live, interactive virtual workshops covering internet basics, email, Zoom, and Google Docs and Drive.
